Fr Jeffrey Johnson SDB
Parish Priest
Fr Jeff was born in Claremont and grew up in Belthorn Estate. He attended school at St Ignatius and St Columbus. After his ordination in 1987 and spent time at Bosco Centre assisting and teaching in the Boys school including assisting with retreats held on behalf of the Diocese.
After spending the last three years in Bosco Centre, he was appointed as Administrator of Our Lady Help of Christians in December 2021.
Philippians 3:7-8 has always inspired me.
Yet whatever gains I had, these I have come to regard as loss because of Christ. More than that, I regard everything as loss because of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and I regard them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ.
Fr Chris Sharpe SDB
Assistant Priest
Fr. Chris is a Salesian from Port Elizabeth. A deep and reflective personality. He lives by the philosophy of not expecting anything but by what can I offer to people around me. He likes climbing mountains. He loves exploring new cultures. He lives by the motto: “All I know is that I don’t know anything.” Always in search of knowledge.
Fr Bart Walsh SDB
Assistant Priest
Fr Bart is a Salesian from Ireland. He has deep insight and many of the parishioners turn to Fr Bart for spiritual guidance. An elder statesman, he loves the craic with the parishioners.
